Is Harley Quinn’s November season 5 debut likely? Probably not

Season 5 of Harley Quinn was supposed to debut in November of 2024, but that may not happen. Thankfully, the show’s reliable track record means it should premiere before 2025.

HBO Max’s Harley Quinn has been DC Comics’ most consistent show since it debuted in 2019. The only time the series skipped a year was in 2021. Considering the world was going through a pandemic, it makes sense. Nevertheless, fans haven’t been deprived of Harley, Poison Ivy, or Bane for long.

On top of the series, there have been other ways to check in on that universe. First is the comic book mini-series connecting the misadventures of Harley and Ivy (Harley Quinn: The Animated Series - The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour and Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats!). The other ways are Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special, and the spin-off Kite Man: Hell Yeah!

In the trailer above, you can see HBO’s future projects for 2025. Among them are popular shows like season 3 of White Lotus (taking place in Thailand), season 2 of The Last of Us, and Peacemaker season 2. One thing missing from that lineup is Harley Quinn.

Recently, a trailer for the remaining HBO programs debuting in 2024 showed Harley Quinn in their plans (you can see it here). With less than two months remaining, you have to wonder when we will see the new savior of Gotham City. Honestly, don't get your hopes up for seeing its return in November.

Shockingly, there hasn’t been a lot of news coming from Harley Quinn. Granted, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! ended recently, so there has been some content revolving around that universe. However, even their official Twitter has been quiet. That said, with the end of the year approaching fast, and Harley Quinn not being in HBO's 2025 trailer, something from that camp should be coming soon. Maybe we're looking at a Christmas week release.

HBO Max keeps a tight schedule with their projects' release dates. It’s one of the reasons there aren’t bonus episodes after a season finale or random surprise specials. It may work for Prime Video, but HBO has been doing this longer than most platforms, and their process works. Everything is worked out meticulously so people don't have to guess what's happening.

So while we won’t see Harley Quinn in November, look for news about the series’ return within the next two weeks. That includes the possibility of a trailer or a teaser from Harley herself. She's done it in the past. Why not now? Whatever happens, Caped Crusades will be here to break it down.
