The Penguin: How to watch episode four of the HBO Max series

Episode 3 of The Penguin ended on the biggest cliffhanger so far. Nadia Maroni and her crew interrupt a conversation between Oz Cobb and Sofia Falcone intent on killing Oz and possibly Sofia. Luckily, Victor Aguilar came back for Oz instead of leaving with his girlfriend, Graciela. Vic crashed into one of Nadia’s gunmen. Oz took this opportunity to jump into his car and escape death (again). Instead of saving his new partner, Oz said "F*** her!" and continued to ride away.

We don’t know where this leaves Sofia. The Falcone and Maroni Families are at war with each other. Oz framing Salvatore Maroni in episode 1 didn’t help. It would make sense if Nadia took the opportunity to kill a member of her rival's family. However, we can guess that Sofia survived.

Despite the odds, she shouldn't be messed with. That will become clearer in episode 4 of The Penguin. This is when we'll see Sofia’s backstory and confirm that she shouldn't be underestimated.

Before Nadia Maroni shows up, Sofia talks to Oz about him ratting on her to her father (Carmine Falcone) about her murders. She believes this leads to her being taken to Arkham and ruining her life. That may be true, but that’s only part of the story. Carmine may have known what his daughter was doing and needed proof to send her away. Maybe Carmine paid Oz to spy on her.

When Sofia is taken into police custody, Oz shouts, “Let her go!” It seems like he doesn’t want her taken away. As genuine as he appears, Oz is manipulative. This could all be for show. In this writer’s opinion, it would be better if he cared about what he set into motion. It adds another layer to his personality.
