The Penguin: How to watch episode five of the HBO Max series

Episode 4 of The Penguin was the best of the season and it will take a lot to top it. Thankfully, even if 5 isn’t as good as the previous one, you can rest easy knowing this will still be an intense episode.

The last time we saw Sofia Falcone, she was strutting around the Falcone Mansion, walking past the people she killed. The only survivors were Carla Viti’s daughter Gia and Johnny Viti. Sofia wasn’t going to kill an innocent young girl. As for Johnny, we can assume she needs him for what comes next and that’s likely taking over the Falcone crime family and killing Oz Cobb.

The biggest takeaway from episode 4 is how poorly Sofia was treated. Oz was good to her in the past and vice versa. When Oz told Sofia’s father (Carmine Falcone) that she was talking to a reporter, everything changed. Then, just when she starts to trust him again (at the end of episode 3), she finds out he killed her brother leading to Sofia’s most trusted worker being killed.

The other thing to watch is what Oz does next. The preview after episode 4 ends shows Oz preparing to make his first big move. He’s amping his guys up telling them it’s their time to take over. How that goes will be a mystery. He’s made a lot of enemies. Even if he didn’t, getting to the top isn’t easy. To find out what happens, you’ll have to watch The Penguin.
