The Penguin: How to watch episode three of the HBO Max series

Now that Oz Cobb and Sophia Falcone have teamed up, what’ll happen in episode 3 of The Penguin? An even better question is how Sophia will react once she realizes that Oz is responsible for another loved one’s death.

Previously on The Penguin, fans learned more about Sophia’s trauma and how she’s dealing with it. Sophia is using a kind of light therapy to help deal with her time in Arkham Asylum and the death of her brother (he died in episode one of The Penguin). We also see why Sophia covers her neck in public. She has been scratching and grabbing her neck in her sleep.

This writer thinks the scratching is because she was framed and wasn’t the Hangman. Sophia's nightmares could be of the real killer choking her (causing her to gasp for air as she wakes up) and fighting them off by clawing at their hands (the reason for the scratching of her neck).

Whatever she's visualizing leads to her being framed as the Hangman, sent to Arkham, and eventually driving her crazy. However, maybe she's putting herself in her victim's place because she secretly regrets her actions.

The most important thing to remember going into episode three is Sofia and Oz Cobb joining forces. Sofia was betrayed by her uncle, Luca Falcone (episode 2), who suggested she leave Gotham City and go to Italy. Oz saw this and took the opportunity to weasel his way into her good graces. Episode 3 of The Penguin should explain how they iron out the details of their collaboration. Look for Sophia to remind Oz that their partnership is temporary and to not get out of line.

Also, watch out for Eve. She knows that Oz is playing a dangerous game. She cares about him, but Eve is also concerned about herself, as she should be. Don’t forget that not only did Oz kill Sophia's brother, but he was also responsible for the death of her closest ally (Castillo).

Sophia will eventually learn the truth and go after Oz or someone he loves. Since that’s a short list, it’ll likely be Victor, Eve, or Oz’s mother. When will that happen?
