After seeing the opening of the Metropolis Superman Museum, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy decide to take a trip to “The Big Apricot” to attend the event (even though only Metropolis residents are allowed in). This leads to a series of events causing HarlIvy to stay after Lena Luthor offers Ivy a job to make Metropolis greener.
When she gives Harley the news, Ivy learns that her partner already planned on staying. Harley hoped that a change in scenery would help their relationship. However, Ivy didn't want to change anything. She was happy with how things were going and that made Harley ecstatic. That’s where the joy stops. While the power celebrates, Brainiac deems some of Metropolis and HarlIvy imperfect.
The season 5 premiere of Harley Quinn did a great job setting up the rest of the season. We know how and why the stars of the show left Gotham (besides it being a wasteland) and that Brainiac will be the center of attention in season 5. As true as that is there’s no way he's the only antagonist we’ll see.
Lena Luthor isn’t up to something. There's a reason she was introduced and it's not just to make Bruce Wayne look weird (he does that on his own). If she’s not doing something evil, then her brother Lex certainly is. Although, it would be nice if she was on the up-and-up.
And let’s not forget that Rebecca Chen has the Anti-Life Equation and is looking for destruction. That leaves a lot to look for and we haven't even gotten to Red X making an appearance to fight Harley. There are also the eventual arrivals of Clayface, King Shark, and Kite Man (Hell yeah) and their stories. If you want to know what happens, you gotta watch Harley Quinn.
