The Penguin: How to watch episode six of the HBO Max series

Episode 5 of The Penguin ended with good and bad news for Oz Cobb. The bad news is Sofia Gigante (no longer Falcone) made a pact with Sal Maroni. Sofia understands she needs Sal and the Maroni Family if she’s going to stay on top. She convinces Sal to join her because they have a mutual interest in killing Oz.

In episode 1, Oz killed Sofia’s brother Alberto Falcone. Alberto was the only person in their family that cared about Sofia. For Sal, Oz just murdered his wife and son (episode 5). Oz has killed people both Sofia and Sal love. It makes sense that they’d team up to get him off the board. Not only is this personal, they know he can’t be underestimated.

The good news for Oz is he found a new base of operations in an old abandoned trolley station in Gotham City. It may not be the Iceberg Lounge, but it has its perks. Among them is having access to the entire city via the subway tunnels. Oz will use these tunnels to distribute Bliss and get to the other crime families around Gotham. A good plan, but this won't be as easy as it sounds.

Oz has to worry about more than his criminal empire. He has people he cares about and Sofia knows who they are. For example, Oz's his mother (Francis Cobb) who may have been spotted by a drug dealer named Squid. If Sofia or Sal asks if he’s seen her, Squid will have no issue telling them where to find her. 

And then there’s Eve Karlo. Eve told Oz that she couldn’t go with him. She can’t leave her girls despite being in danger for being involved with and loving Oz. Since Sofia knows Eve and wants to make him suffer like she did, Eve could be one of the first people she goes after. Sofia doesn’t like going after innocent people, but she may make an exception for revenge.
