The Penguin: How to watch episode 8 of the HBO Max series

Oz Cobb thought he could get away with killing Alberto Falcone in the first episode of The Penguin. He may have it if Sofia Gigante (formerly Sofia Falcone) wasn’t released from Arkham.

Without Alberto, there wasn’t anyone left in Sofia's family who believed in or trusted her. Once she discovered that Oz shot him, she was willing to do anything to avenge her brother. That included killing her family entire family (episode 4) and later setting off a bomb in Gotham that caused more destruction to a town still dealing with the aftermath of Riddler’s attack (episode 7).

The explosion in Gotham is only part of the story in The Penguin's season finale. Sofia's chance at revenge is the part everyone is waiting for. We don’t know if she’s going to kill Oz’s mother (Francis Cobb) so he can feel the pain she felt or if she has something else planned. Sofia doesn’t normally hurt innocent people but Francis isn’t blameless. Francis knew what Oz was up to and was proud of him. And according to the trailer, Sofia appears ready to torture Oz’s mother.

How Oz gets out of this situation will be epic. We’ve seen him avoid death whenever it’s knocked at his door. Sometimes it’s pure luck like Sal Maroni having a heart attack in the middle of their fight. Other times he’s used his gift of gab like when he united the major gangs of Gotham City. In this case, Oz will need all of his skills and a lot of luck to escape Sofia's wrath.

Whatever happens between Sofia Gigante and Oz Cobb will lead to Oz becoming the king of Gotham City’s crime or starting him at the bottom again. Either way, if you want to know what happens, you’ll have to tune in to The Penguin’s season finale. Down below is everything you need to watch it.
