The Penguin: How to watch episode one of the HBO Max series

Here's how you can watch the entire mini-series of The Penguin on HBO Max including the release dates and times. You don’t want to miss an episode.

Fans have waited over a year for HBO Max’s premiere of The Penguin and it’s almost here. Colin Farrell will star as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot (Penguin) as he makes his play to become the leader of Gotham City’s underworld. Unfortunately, it’s reported that Robert Pattinson’s Batman won’t be in this project (though I think he’ll appear in the season finale). Nevertheless, it shouldn’t stop you from watching this series.

The trailers have shown that The Penguin could contend for the best superhero project of the year. There will be a lot of action, drama, and fantastic acting. Besides Colin Farrell, you'll want to pay attention to Cristin Milioti (Made for Love and Palm Springs) who plays Sofia Falcone.

Cristin Milioti has been an actor for a while, but this could become a breakout role leading to bigger projects. It won’t be surprising if playing Sofia Falcone gets her nominated for an award. This is the kind of character people will gravitate to and talk about throughout the season.

The best part about The Penguin is you won't need to be a comic book fan to enjoy the show. There’s likely to be an explanation of who the major players of Gotham City are and a recap of what happened during The Batman. However, I’d recommend watching Matt Reeves’ The Batman. It’s a good movie and watching an entire film is better than a recap.

The Penguin: Episode dates

The Penguin will premiere on Thursday Septmeber 19th. However, episodes 2 through 8 will resume on Sundays for the remainder of the season. It’s a weird move since the series premiere of Agatha All Along is on the 18th. It’ll be interesting to see if this affects the streaming numbers for either comic book show.
