Warner Bros may be kicking themselves for dropping Batman: Caped Crusader. It was a hit for Amazon Prime and has been renewed for a second season. Like most comic book shows, fans will wonder what characters will debut that haven’t yet. With that in mind, these five should be locks for season 2.

Dick Grayson

Even if he never becomes Robin, we should see Dick Grayson. It would be cool if Batman saves the Flying Graysons and Dick helps. This way Dick gets to be the hero and we avoid a tragedy we've seen before. It would be nice if things were different in this universe.

Every reality has different versions of the Batman and Robin story. We’ve met Carrie Kelley in episode 8 (Nocturne). Maybe she will become the first Robin during Batman: Caped Crusader.

Jason Todd

Jason Todd’s father was a thug who proudly talked about a scar Batman gave him. He was also an abusive jerk. What if Batman saves Jason from ending up on the streets? Or, like the White Knight Universe, he could become Batman’s first Robin. His brutality fits with this Bruce Wayne and the universe they’re in.

Poison Ivy

We saw different versions of classic characters during Batman: Caped Crusader. For example, there’s Harley Quinn. She wasn’t the goofy villain with a carefree attitude. That part was the mask Harleen Quinzel showed Renee Montoya and Barbara Gordon. As a villain, Harley Quinn was serious and more dangerous.

Poison Ivy should get a similar treatment. It shouldn't be a complete switch where she's silly or haphazard. Instead of a genius, imagine if she was a plant goddess. This would be a welcomed change.

Constantine

Bruce was introduced to magic when he fought the Gentleman Ghost. More exposure to that world is necessary for Batman to improve. A good way to do that is to introduce John or Johanna Constantine. It would give the Dark Knight a crash course in what a real demon and dark magic look like and they'd literally throw him into the fire.

Lex Luthor is one of the few people who can challenge Bruce Wayne’s intellect. Having him in an episode would lead to a battle of wits and intelligence greater than his bouts with the Riddler. It would be fun to see them fight with Lex in his super suit and Bruce with his gadgets. However, an intellectual is just as good. It’s another way to show that Batman can do anything.

Bane

Just like season 1 ended with the introduction of Joker, season 2 should conclude with Bane. He isn’t the draw that Joker is, but he’s every bit the villain. He’s broken Batman in the comics and movies and he should during Batman: Caped Crusader. Bane breaking Bruce’s back would be the perfect way to end the season. Fans wouldn’t know how to react. Stay tuned to Caped Crusades to find out if that happens.
