Netflix Has Had Talks About Young Justice Season 3

The best way to get a Young Justice Season 3 on Netflix is to keep binging

Young Justice is another in a long line of high quality DC animated shows. It stands shoulder to shoulder with Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, etc. And while we got two really fantastic seasons of the show, for fans that wasn’t nearly enough. It’s most likely due to the fact that while the show was popular, its survival depended on a toy deal. The audience wasn’t buying the toys in high enough numbers, so the show got cancelled.

So when Young Justice came to Netflix, fans of the show saw their chance for the show to get a second life. After all, Netflix has a long history of renewing canceled shows that have a loyal following. They also seem to have a fondness for doing comic book properties as well (though those are all Marvel so far). They started binge-watching the show. Creating hashtags on Twitter. And encouraging others to do so. Even some of the voice cast for the show has gotten in on the campaign.

It seems like both Netflix and Warner Bros. have definitely noticed all the attention the show is getting. There have been very serious discussions about a third season of the show on Netflix. Greg Wiseman, Co-creator and writer on the show confirmed these talks. But has told fans to not rest easy just yet:

The biggest hurdle I see here is that Netflix executives recently stated they are more interested in developing properties they own in the future. It’s at least part of the reason they didn’t save Agent Carter. However, it looks like a third season of Young Justice is certainly possible. But the campaign hasn’t accomplished that goal quite yet. If you want that to happen (and you should), keep binging the show on Netflix and encourage others to do the same.
