What Is Batman’s Role In Justice League?

Batman’s humanity plays a key role in The Justice League

While they may be at odds in the upcoming Batman v Superman film, we know full well that they will be allies if not best buds in crime fighting by the time the first Justice League movie rolls around in 2017. But how does Batman fit in among a group of super-powered beings like Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Aquaman?

For an upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck answers that very question:

"Batman represents human beings, mortal men, In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It’s interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books – I’m not sure how that will play out here – but his humanity is also an asset."

One thing is for sure, Batman has had no problem hanging with the rest of the Justice League, ever. Even against guys who should be way out of his league such as Braniac, Darkseid, etc. While his relationship with Superman will obviously be very key in the upcoming Justice League movies, it will also be interesting to see just how this Batman, a weathered, older more cynical and angry Batman interacts with the likes of Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, etc. Will he be a team player, a leader or a loose canon who does things his own way?
