A preview for Justice League of America #10

One of the problems with a line-wide re-launch such as Rebirth is some titles still happen to be in the middle of their run when that happens. Maybe it’s because it was planned out well before the event or the title just suffered a lot of delays, but it can lead to those titles still hanging around for awhile after they should be long done and everything has moved on. Justice League of America is one such title.

It is supposed to be a 12-issue book that was in the pre-Rebirth, New 52 era. This Justice League still has the New 52 Superman, for example. It was seemingly cancelled, but than was solicited, so they apparently at least going to finish the twelve issue run of the series. Check out a synopsis and gallery preview of Justice League of America #10, which was written by Bryan Hitch & Tony Bedard with art by Tom Derenick below:

"The League members in the ancient past catch up with those in the present, and the whole future is at stake! The League thought they had beaten Rao, at great personal cost, but his final solution for the people of Earth is far more than even The League can stand against."

I just more find it incredibly fascinating that they are bothering to continue with a New 52 era title this far into Rebirth’s run. I mean, the whole reason Rebirth happened was because New 52 was doing very poorly as a whole. And Bryan Hitch is writing the current Justice League title, so he doesn’t have a whole lot of reason to finish this. Maybe it’s a contractual thing and it’s cheaper to finish the 12-issue run than scrap the rest of it. Either way, Justice League Of America #10 is available this Wednesday. November 30th.
