Harley Quinn & The Suicide Squad are getting a special one-shot comic this April

Although she’s certainly broken out on her own, much like Harley Quinn & The Joker, Harley Quinn & The Suicide Squad are strongly linked with each other and have a lot of history together. They’ll be together again in a one shot coming this April titled HARLEY QUINN & THE SUICIDE SQUAD APRIL FOOL’S SPECIAL #1. The comic will be written by Rob Williams, with art by Jim Lee & Sean Galloway. Now while it’s called an “April Fool’s Special”, it doesn’t actually go on sale until April 6th, so that’s a few days after (would’ve made more sense to release it the week before frankly). Read the synopsis for HARLEY QUINN & THE SUICIDE SQUAD APRIL FOOL’S SPECIAL #1 below.

"Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, M.D., welcomes you to Evil Anonymous, the support group for super villains in need; where no problem is too insane or homicidal, and where discretion is assured as only a clown princess of crime can—which is to say, not at all. But when Harley Quinn starts using her patients’ own evil schemes against them, it turns out that a much bigger, far more dangerous, and truly life-altering joke is being played on her."

Certainly sounds exactly like the kind of half-baked scheme Harley Quinn is known for. I notice that the Suicide Squad isn’t actually mentioned in the synopsis, but they are in the title, so odds are they will be helping her in some capacity. This is just a couple weeks after Batman v Superman comes out so look for HARLEY QUINN & THE SUICIDE SQUAD APRIL FOOL’S SPECIAL #1 to be the start of a full press onslaught of media pushing both Harley Quinn & Suicide Squad right up until the movie releases in August.
