Gotham: Things Aren’t Getting Any Easier For Fish Mooney
When we last left Fish Mooney on Gotham, she had escaped her tormenters (with help from loyal underling Butch) and also got out of town (with help from lovesick Detective Bullock) but swearing to come back and get revenge, specifically on one Oswald Cobblepot aka, The Penguin. On a recent conference call with various outlets, Jada Pinkett Smith teased a very rough road ahead for Fish Mooney.

"It’s not quite over yet but we’ll see if Fish survives the season. It’s a little tense from here on out, that’s for sure. It’s a little rough on Fish from here on out."
Smith also talked about how she interprets Fish Mooney’s relationship with Penguin:
"I would say that she saw Penguin as one of her adopted orphans — someone she took off the street and helped him become something, so I think that she felt deeply betrayed by Penguin. It will be interesting to see where their relationship goes from here. Right now they’re not getting along too well [laughs] and she’s still pretty upset with him but it will be interesting to see where it goes from here."
It would be a shame to see Fish Mooney not survive past season one since she is pretty much the only strong original character developed specifically for the show and has been portrayed very well by Jada Pinkett Smith. Will Fish Mooney make it to season two of Gotham? Keep watching Mondays on Fox to find out!
