Margot Robbie Talks Harley Quinn

Margot Robbie wasn’t a household name, or even considered much of an up and coming star…until she was cast as one of DC’s most popular characters, Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. People sure are paying attention now. She will undoubtedly be under a lot of scrutiny by fans for every aspect of how she portrays the beloved character.

Personally, I think she looks the part, but how is she going to sound? Believe it or not, her voice is one of the most iconic characteristics of Harley, and it’s going to be talked about. In a recent interview, she actually discussed just that.

"“None of those things have been set in stone at this point, but according to the comics, she’s from New York and I think Brooklyn, so there may be a slight… I couldn’t imagine it would be as strong as the Wolf of Wall Street accent,” she said. “The lingo will be the difference between that and the other character I played in ‘Wolf’ but I don’t know yet. We haven’t spoken about it.”"

They’d better talk about it. It will alienate quite a few fans if they don’t respect a character this well liked.

Here’s a clip of Robbie from The Wolf of Wall Street.
