Batman Vs Superman Filming Shake-up?

A little over a week ago one of our peers Batman-News.com posted a rumor from a reader about Batman Vs Superman filming. According to the article a discussion was overheard about logistical problems at the Detroit location and talk of possibly moving the operation to Chicago. Here’s a bit of that:

"Today, Chad is back with some details that are much more interesting. He says that he overheard a man at a local coffee shop who was wearing a Milo & Sage badge, talking about possible shooting locations. Milo & Sage is the working title forBatman vs. Superman. Here’s what Chad says he heard:"

"They wanted to film at the courthouse in Detroit at night, but because there would be loud weapons they ran into complications."

"There was talk about shutting down some train crossings."

"They were trying to find the right convenience store for a robbery scene."

"A helicopter was supposed to land on COBO Hall in Detroit. The production wanted to blow a hole in the roof. However, COBO said no. They had promised to repair it, but COBO still said no. They’ll be heading to Chicago to shoot the scene with the helicopter and explosion."

"There was also mention of possibly using the Masonic Temple in Detroit."

Here’s the Masonic Temple in question. Looks pretty Gothic.

Over the last couple of weeks the on-line consensus was that Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot were all en route to Detroit to begin filming crucial scenes together. That could be one reason this rumor went largely ignored. Then over the last few days a clean-shaven Henry Cavill has been spotted in Chicago and now Ben Affleck has been seen in Los Angeles.

Is this why the rumored Bat-suit reveal didn’t take place in March or early April as expected?  It certainly seems possible. There’s also a chance that the big unveiling won’t happen until Con Season hits its stride, i.e. San Diego.
