Ben McKenzie in Gotham Promo Photo

We’ve all seen the photos of Ben McKenzie on the set of Gotham but now we have a promotional photo released by Warner Bros. Television. According to IGN’s Eric Goldman, this is the official Gotham plot description of Gordon:

Growing up in Gotham City’s surrounding suburbs, James Gordon romanticized the city as a glamorous and exciting metropolis where his late father once served as a successful district attorney. Now, two weeks into his new job as a Gotham City detective and engaged to his beloved fiancée, Barbara Kean, Gordon is living his dream – even as he hopes to restore the city back to the pure version he remembers it was as a kid.”"

Read Eric Goldman’s full article on IGN here. While most of us Batman fans are feeling nervous about ‘Batman vs. Superman’ I am feeling a lot more confident about Gotham. It looks like Fox and WB TV have really got a good thing going with Gotham, the cast choices (with the exception of my worry about David Mazouz see my article on Gotham casting Camren Bicondova and David Mazouz) have been very solid choices and the cast all looks good in their roles. I so hope that by the time Bruce is putting on the cape and cowl at the end of the series Gordon has his iconic mustache and glasses. I think this is the first time we have seen James Gordon without his glasses and mustache, even when he is portrayed as much younger he still always has that ‘stache and the glasses.
