New Caped Crusader!

Greetings, Batfans! My name is Skip Harvey and I’m honored to be the new co-editor of CapedCrusadses.com. This is a dream come true for a lifetime fanboy like me, and I hope to bring you the kind of content that does right by the people who share the same passion.

Just so you know you’re in good hands, here’s a little about me:

My parents met at a planning committee meeting for Trekon ‘76, the first Star Trek con in Kansas City. My real name is James after Captain James T. Kirk.

Geekery is in my blood.

The first comic I ever read was one of my father’s Batman 80 Page Giants and I’ve been hooked ever since. In 2012 I was featured in Morgan Spurlock’s documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope for my quest to become a professional comic illustrator. I’ve worked in two comic shops and am currently working on my own independent book.  I’ve also been a correspondent at San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic-Con as well as a comic reviewer for the British comic website Bleedingcool.com.

This isn’t just a hobby or interest for me. This is a lifestyle.

Now, as an editor for Caped Crusades, I plan to help shape the go-to blog for Batman news and analysis.  Both Amanda and I have an unbridled love for the Cape and Cowl and we’d love your support in our venture. If we can help some other bright-eyed child realize his love for Batman like I did, or help a lifetime fan learn more about the superhero we all know and love, then we will have done our jobs.

Welcome to the Bat Family, readers!

Please stay tuned. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.
