Report: Batman vs. Superman will not delay shooting

When Warner Bros. announced that Batman vs. Superman had been delayed until May 6, 2016, many people assumed that this meant shooting wouldn’t begin until much later in the year. But while the release date for the film has changed, the production start date seems to have stayed the same.

Deadline is reporting that Ben Affleck has been pulled off his current directing project so that he can report immediately to the Michigan set of Batman vs. Superman.

"While Warner Bros. recently pushed the release date for the movie from 2015 to 2016, word is that production is not being delayed and the main players have been summoned to start work right away."

This of course doesn’t mean that shooting is starting right away or that each of the win players magically appeared when Warner Bros snapped their fingers. But what it does mean is that the production of the film hasn’t been delayed, just the release date.

May 6, 2016 is still the date that Batman vs. Superman will becoming out, but we can expect to start seeing set photos leaked this summer as it’ clear the movie will be rollin cameras once the ice melts in Michigan.
